Honda UK plant, Swindon

This major car assembly plant was built to a fast-track programme under a joint venture arrangement. An aluminium-clad, steel framed building incorporated pits and trenches for the process equipment. Major excavations and civils works were required for the storage and treatment of the waste fluids. Full plant facilities and high-voltage/low-voltage substations were provided to serve the plant’s sophisticated process equipment.

Land Rover press shop, Solihull

This 24m high building comprised receiving area, press shop, die maintenance and dispatch, with the press itself located over a massive pit which required substantial excavations.

Toyota plant, Deeside

We have undertaken refurbishment works and provide facilities services including maintenance, catering and security.

Our unique plant construction and pipework fabrication capabilities enable us to offer high-integrity mechanical and pipework fabrication services for the chemical industry.

Our highly-skilled workforce is trained in the latest fabrication, cutting and welding techniques in accordance with current approved codes of practice and legislation.

Off-site fabrication

Besides our comprehensive work on client sites we have a modern, 8,200 sq m mechanical and pipework fabrication facility at Ellesmere Port. Through it we are able to provide cost-effective fabrication solutions to the highest standards of safety and quality. Our experienced team can deliver an extensive range of welding procedures encompassing process piping systems and module and coldbox fabrication - all within a strictly-controlled environment.

Lucas Ingredients:

Construction of a manufacturing and technical facility in Bristol. The facility is the largest ingredient blending facility in Europe and supports flexible manufacturing in a very hygienic environment. It incorporates a sensory analysis laboratory, a food processing pilot plant and a central cooking and barbecue area for testing products.

Premier Poultry:

Construction of a facility in Scunthorpe consisting of a two-storey production building together with an access road, car parking and external works.

Allied Bakeries:

A bakery extension and production bay replacement. This comprised the demolition, replacement and extension of the existing production bay and a steam-cleaning bay along with a new switch room and transfer area.

Fine Lady Bakery:

The removal and replacement of insulated wall panels.

Somerfield:

The design and construction of a new distribution centre incorporating frozen, chilled and ambient storage and gatehouse security, along with extensive external works.

We have been providing construction services to the iron and steel industry for more than sixty years, operating from our established bases in the country's industrial heartlands across the north of England and South Wales.

Our association with Corus in South Wales extends back to the original construction, in the 1940's and 1950's, of the Trostre and Velindre Tinplate Works. Our track record in the steel industry includes work at all plants, ranging from routine civil engineering and building maintenance through to major projects, such as Trostre's new tinning line; the continuous cold rolling mill at Llanwern; an extension to the effluent plant at Trostre; and industrial foundations for the hot dip coating line at Llanwern. We continue to carry out maintenance works to the present day. We also have experience of heavy engineering works for other private sector steel industry clients elsewhere in the UK.

With over 25 years' direct experience within the UK nuclear industry, our knowledge and understanding embraces the construction of new facilities, major outages, term maintenance, support services and decommissioning/clean-up activities.

Interserve has a proven track record with a client portfolio that includes British Energy, British Nuclear Group, UKAEA and Urenco.

Our expertise in the petrochemical industry has enabled us to support notable clients such as Conoco, Shell, BP, Texaco and Esso in all aspects of the facility life cycle including consultation, design and build, operation and maintenance. We specialise in all elements of pre-shutdown and shutdown phases, using our extensive planning and project management systems.

• One- and three-year site-wide repair and maintenance term contracts for the provision of mechanical and electrical engineering, scaffolding, insulation, painting, civils, minor projects and shutdown services

Our specialised skilled pipework fabrication is undertaken at our purpose-built, 88,000 square foot facility near Ellesmere Port.

Interserve has been working within the pharmaceutical industry for many years. Key clients in this sector include Aventis, Astra Zeneca, Novartis, Proctor and Gamble and GlaxoSmithKline.

We are involved in all the stages of the process from the initial business case preparation through construction and into aftercare and maintenance. Work undertaken includes the construction of new warehouse facilities, clean rooms and production facilities, refurbishment, fit-out and building maintenance - often within a sterile area.
