Integration project at Gateshead Magistrates and County CourtClient: Her Majesty’s Court Service

The project consisted of the integration of Gateshead Magistrates and County Courts into the existing Magistrates Court building located in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear.

The works included building a single storey extension to the front elevation, a two storey extension to the rear starting at the first floor and internal alterations and upgrading of the building to comply with DDA regulations.

Achievements

The work was phased and carried out under very challenging conditions with a large proportion of the work carried out at night and on weekends to allow the Magistrates Court to go about its everyday business.
